Camp Series Post-2- Raft Building

 Kia ora bloggers

I am Levi from Yaldhurst Model School

I am back with my camp series post number 2!

This time it is about Raft Building.

We had to do this at camp!!! We had to build a raft out of these black rubber rings, piece of wood, and rope. We had to design a shape and work together to tie it all up. In my group there was, Connor, me, Sahil, Leon.

This is a photo of us tying the knots and building our raft.

This is a photo off us carrying the raft we built. It didn't fit through the gate so we had to turn it on it's side.

I learnt that tying knots is actually really simple to do! I also learnt that a good shape for a raft is a triangle.

Do you know how to tie a knot?
Have you built a raft before?

  1. Greetings Levi,

I'm Te Raumati from Panmure Bridge School in Auckland.

I have read your blog post and I found you images interesting. I like how you explained the sequence of this task to the viewers.

I have also attepted this activity at camp. I learnt how to tie knots which helped me and my group make our raft.

Would you like to do this task again and why?

Keep up the good work! :)
