Camp Series - Post-3-swimming (last post)

Hey beautiful bloggers,

I hope your day has gone good for you! This is my 3rd and final post about camp. So today I will be telling you all about the swimming hole at WAC.

This not a real swimming pool it is actually a real river with water from the mountains!

This is the water hole. Isn't it Beautiful?! I cct has rope swings, it is 4 meters deep in the middle!

This is an example of a rope swing at the water hole!
You swing on the rope swing and landing into the water hole is really scary for me! So what I did is just let go when I was not moving.

I have learned that if you are going on a rope swing take your time!

1. Have to questions these are them....

1.Have you been on a rope swing?

2.Do you like shallow water or deep water?

Ok this is the end of my series bloggers!

Hope to see you next time

Bye blogger!

Camp Series Post-2- Raft Building

 Kia ora bloggers

I am Levi from Yaldhurst Model School

I am back with my camp series post number 2!

This time it is about Raft Building.

We had to do this at camp!!! We had to build a raft out of these black rubber rings, piece of wood, and rope. We had to design a shape and work together to tie it all up. In my group there was, Connor, me, Sahil, Leon.

This is a photo of us tying the knots and building our raft.

This is a photo off us carrying the raft we built. It didn't fit through the gate so we had to turn it on it's side.

I learnt that tying knots is actually really simple to do! I also learnt that a good shape for a raft is a triangle.

Do you know how to tie a knot?
Have you built a raft before?

Camp series - Post 1Orienteering

Hello bloggers my names Levi form Yaldhurst Model School.

This Is my first post about my camp at Waipara Adventure Centre. I will be sharing about an activity we did called Orienteering. In Orienteering you go looking for markers around the whole entire camp using a map and a piece of paper with symbols on it. Have a look at my DLO for more information.

In Orienteering I have learnt that It does not take that much time to do and It's pretty fun.

My two questions for you are....
  1. Does It matter how many people are In you team or is 2 people enough?
  2. Whats the world's quickest time for completing an Orienteering course do you think?
